Job Description:

Calm Cove Home Care Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. You will play a crucial role in improving the lives of our clients by helping them regain independence and achieve their goals. This position is perfect for a professional who values flexibility and autonomy while providing high-quality care in compliance with state requirements.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on achieving client goals.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve clients’ functional abilities in daily living activities.
Collaborate with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery.
Educate clients and caregivers on techniques to maintain or improve independence.
Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Ohio
A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a home health or similar setting is preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $30 – $40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
